Stuart Brophy
AWS Cloud & Amazon Connect Engineer based in Ireland
I engineer AWS and Amazon Connect platforms that keep 600+ contact centre agents moving. I build serverless tools, automate repetitive work, and turn production problems into lasting fixes.
Skills & Technologies
Hands-on expertise across cloud infrastructure, DevOps, security, and integration — built in regulated enterprise environments.

Experience
- Engineer an Amazon Connect estate across nine contact centre accounts for more than 600 agents, with Lambda (Python), EC2, DynamoDB, and S3 integrations.
- Delivered robotic process automation for more than 600 agents. Reduced a key call workflow from about 10 minutes to 2 and saved each agent 15–20 minutes daily through automated login.
- Own end-to-end incident management across cloud and on-premises platforms. Resolve 30+ incidents per month through root cause analysis, controlled testing, and corrective action.
- Lead AWS Premium Support investigations for Amazon Connect and Salesforce CTI. Analyse HAR files, CCP logs, contact flow logs, and Contact Trace Records to isolate production defects.
- Contribute Terraform-managed infrastructure, contact flows, Lambda integrations, environment promotion, UAT, and operational readiness for enterprise Amazon Connect transformation.
- Delivered an AI document-classification bridge to Azure Blob Storage, re-engineered PHS interaction-history lookups from Athena to DynamoDB, and released changes across Salesforce, MuleSoft, and ServiceNow.
- Serve as enterprise Application Owner for Power Automate. Maintain runbooks and troubleshooting guides, deliver an internal automation masterclass, and contribute to disaster recovery, security, mentoring, and outreach.
- Led end-to-end client projects combining design delivery with technical documentation and stakeholder presentations.
- Managed company IT systems (servers, workstations, networking, storage) and served as Data Protection Officer.
- Oversaw GDPR compliance, incident resolution, and data protection policy drafting.
- Developed and maintained client websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Assisted with system administration tasks (IIS, MySQL) and issue troubleshooting.
Things I've Built
Tools and experiments in Amazon Connect engineering, workflow simulation, local AI, and interactive software.
🔍 FlowLens
A browser-first Amazon Connect flow engineering suite. Visualise, edit, simulate, and audit contact flows, test mocked integrations, flag risky routing, and export JUnit or SARIF evidence for CI. Also ships as a VS Code extension and headless CI runner.
Private · WIP✂️ Clip Chimp
A local-first video pipeline that finds compelling moments in long videos, then cuts, reframes, captions, and exports platform-ready clips. A local language model reads the transcript, with a heuristic fallback when transcription is unavailable.
⚔️ Dev Legend: Code RPG
A VS Code extension that turns daily coding into a persistent RPG. Track 19 skills across writing, debugging, committing, and more — with an OSRS-style XP curve, character classes, achievements, and a pixel-art dashboard.
📚 Django Learning Dashboard
An interactive web app that teaches Django through hands-on modules. Features a sandboxed code executor, progress tracking, achievements, REST API with Swagger docs, and a responsive dark UI — all containerised with Docker.

🏰 Realms of Iron
A grand strategy game running entirely in the browser. Lead one of 10 factions through diplomacy, economics, and military conquest with WEGO simultaneous turns, utility-based AI, deterministic combat, and JSON-driven events.

🎨 ArtScii
A local ASCII art studio built in Python. Convert images to ASCII, create art from scratch, and export results — all from the local webapp with a lightweight, dependency-free interface. Includes LLM-assisted generation and a template browser for easy creation.

🗺️ Deepshell
A CLI-based roguelike dungeon crawler built in TypeScript. Explore procedurally generated dungeons, battle enemies, collect loot, and progress through a skill and perk system — all playable in the terminal.

About
I'm Stuart Brophy, an Infrastructure Engineer based in Co. Carlow, Ireland with a background spanning cloud architecture, security, and automation — shaped by years working across enterprise AWS environments and a First Class Honours degree in Cybercrime & IT Security. I engineer and support an Amazon Connect estate across nine accounts for 600+ agents, build Python and Lambda solutions, and own production incident resolution. I enjoy turning complex operational problems into practical tools, measurable improvements, and lasting fixes.
Outside of work I stay close to the things that keep me sharp: building side-project tools, PC building, cybersecurity CTFs, art and design, and data preservation.
